Oral Cavity Cancer

The cancer that occurs in the mouth and the beginning of the throat, which is at the back of the mouth, are considered as oral cavity cancer and oropharyngeal cancer. Lips, roof of the mouth, floor of the mouth which consists of soft palate and uvula, salivary glands, lining of cheeks, etc. are parts of the oral cavity. The parts that lead to the throat from the mouth is called pharynx.
Leukoplakia (white or gray patch), erythroplakia (flat or slightly raised, red area that often bleeds easily if it is scraped) and erythroleukoplakia (a patch with both red and white areas) are terms used to describe certain types of abnormal tissue that can be seen in the mouth or throat as precancerous state.
Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is a chronic and complex pre-cancerous condition characterized by inflammation and progressive fibrosis of the submucosal tissues. As the disease progresses, the jaws become rigid to the extent that the sufferer is unable to open their mouth. The condition is linked to oral cavity cancers.

Generally Known Causes of Oral Cavity Cancer

The exact causes of oral cavity cancers and oropharynx cancers are not yet known. But the following ostensible causes or risk factors are identified:

  • Tobacco (chewing and/or smoking) and Alcohol use are believed to be the strongest risk factors for oral cavity and Oropharyngeal cancers. People who drink alcohol heavily are at a greater risk of oral cancer than those who do not consume alcohol.
  • People who chew betel quid (made up of areca nut and lime wrapped in a betel leaf) or gutka (a mixture of betel quid and tobacco) have an increased risk of cancer of the mouth.
  • Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection is believed to be a risk factor for oral cavity cancers or oropharyngeal cancers
  • Oral cavity and oropharyngeal cancers are about twice as common in men as in women
  • Exposure to sun has been found to be an important factor contributing to the risk of lip cancer
  • Personal history of head and neck cancer: The people who are already having or had head and neck cancer are at increased risk of oral cavity cancer.
  • Poor nutrition
  • Low immunity, etc…

Dynamic Science (DS) Based Causes of Oral Cavity Cancer

Material philosophy based present science identifies that there are mutations or epigenetic changes happen in the genetic or DNA level that leads to the development of Cancer. Dynamic Science, which explains how mind, vital force (soul) and DNA are interconnected, reveals that our mind regulates the DNA with finality, though there are influences on DNA from the outside energy sources and also from the bio-chemical changes that happen in the physical body. But all DNA changes are ultimately under regulatory control of the mental thoughts. Through our researches based on DSA, we identify different mental and emotional thought processes that constructively and destructively influence the DNA expression. We identify that naturally positive, happy, comfortable, peaceful and pure mental emotional state constructively or curatively modify the DNA whereas negative, unnatural, pessimistic, fearful, destructive mental and emotional states derange the DNA to express itself to an unhealthy plane. Also each thought is connected to a functional system and/or organ of the body. In this connection we are in search for the important mental and emotional states/thoughts that affect the oral cavity and the oropharynageal area in the development of cancer. It is still an ongoing research and development activity and a new direction of scientific observation which can make the development of future Medical Science and a new methodology of treatment. Signs and Symptoms of Oral Cavity Cancer

The following are the possible signs and symptoms of the oral cavity cancer or oropharyngeal cancer.

  • Red, white or a mixture of red and white patches inside your mouth
  • Sore in mouth or lip that does not heal
  • Bleeding in the mouth
  • Continuous pain in mouth
  • Continuous bad breath
  • Difficulty in chewing or swallowing
  • Difficulty in moving tongue or jaw
  • Numbness of tongue and other areas of mouth
  • Loose teeth
  • Lump in the neck
  • Change in the voice
  • Lump or thickening in the cheek
  • Lose of weight
  • Earache
  • Difficulty in using dentures

Diagnosis of Oral Cancer

If you have the symptoms stated above your dentist or doctor will examine your throat, roof of mouth, inside of the cheeks, tongue, lips etc. If the doctor suspects some abnormality, samples of the tissues from that area will be removed and examined under a microscope which will detect the presence of oral cancer. Further examination with imaging tests like X-ray, CT scan, MRI scan, etc. will help realize the extent of progression of the cancer to the adjoining areas.

Dynamic Scientific Approach (DSA) Treatment for Oral Cavity Cancer

We at SGHHCC and SGCCRC, follow the principles and treatment procedures of homeopathic tradition led, newly invented, natural holistic Dynamic Scientific Approach (DSA) treatment based on Dynamic Science (DS) propounded by our founder director and chief physician, Dr. Shaji Varghese Kudiyat. In this treatment, we explain how cancer develops by understanding the relationship between mind, vital force (soul) and DNA which automatically explains how DNA regulation takes place and diseases are developed. DSA treatment utilizes the same relationship for the curative management of the diseases. Dynamic science is a landmark achievement and it is expected to transform scientific world and humanity from a materialistic philosophic perspective to dynamic/spiritual philosophic perspective.

In the holistic approach of the DSA, the peace, calmness, harmony and purity of mind, vital force and body play a vital role in the cure of the disease. Therefore, our treatment begins with a seminar / group counseling in which patient and all the family members have to take part. The knowledge imparted through this seminar/counseling empowers them with the knowledge of how mind, vital force (soul) and DNA are interconnected and the principles and process of healing of cancer and the essence of the DSA treatment procedure followed in our center. The essence of the group counseling is to set you free with the knowledge of the truth especially about the root cause of the disease, which where hitherto unknown to medical science. The success stories and experiences of other patients who were saved from the clutches of the ruthless cancer give them courage to withstand the sufferings without much difficulty and come out in flying colors. Our DSA treatment includes – use of natural homeopathic medicines, surgery (if required) and inner healing practices like yoga, meditation, music therapy, massage, etc. Click here to know more about Dynamic Scientific Approach (DSA).

Homeopathic Treatment for Oral Cavity or Oropharyngeal Cancer

Homeopathy is a medical system invented by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann who was a German physician. This is a holistic system of medicine which aims at healing the diseases by using body’s own self healing ability to destroy anything inimical, damaging or unhealthy to the body including the cancerous cells and to create new healthy cells wherever possible, using the homeopathic philosophy of ‘let like be cured by likes’. The supremacy of homeopathic treatment has been historically proven wherein the mortal calamities of the patients who resorted to homeopathic treatment consequent to the outbreak of cholera in Britain in the year 1854 was considered to be 16.4 % compared to 51.8 % mortal rate experienced by patients who opted for other treatment options.

Our founder director Dr. Shaji Varghese Kudiyat is a scientist, researcher and thinker who has formulated a new science named Dynamic Science (DS) which explains what is curative in homeopathic medicine and how homeopathic medicine works and he had authored a book named ‘Homeopathic Medicine, An Unavoidable Medical Revolution’. All our patients get the unique opportunity to be treated by Dr. Kudiyat whose patient specific analysis of the situation and interpretations are unique and greatly beneficial to the patient and the entire family members.
