The uncontrolled growth of cells that begins in the lungs is known as lung cancer or pulmonary carcinoma. Lungs are spongy organs located in the chest that receives oxygen we inhale and expels the carbon dioxide we exhale.
Types of Lung Cancer
Based on histopathology or microscopic examinations lung cancers are mainly divided into two types – Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC). NSCLC is the most common type of lung cancer and is further divided into adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, epidermoid carcinoma and large cell carcinoma. SCLC develops and spread faster than NSCLC.
Generally Known Causes of Lung Cancer
People who smoke have the largest risk of getting lung cancer. This risk increases with the number of cigarettes and the years of smoking. Even if you quit after smoking for many years, it can significantly reduce the risk of lung cancer. Certain ostensible causative factors known as risk factors are believed to be increasing the chance for the development of lung cancer are listed below:
- Exposure to radon gas
- Exposure to certain chemicals like silica, asbestos, diesel exhaust, etc.
- Air pollution
- Previous lung disease
- A family history of lung cancer which produces the genetic risk
- Past cancer treatment like radio therapy for breast cancer, etc.
- Lowered immunity from immune suppressant medications, etc.
- Old age
Dynamic Science (DS) Based Causes of Lung Cancer
Present science (material science) identifies that there are mutations or epigenetic changes happen in the genes or DNA level that leads to the development of Cancer. Dynamic Science, which explains how mind, vital force (soul) and DNA are interconnected, reveals that our mind regulates the DNA with finality, though there are influences on DNA from the outside energy sources and also from the bio-chemical changes that happen in the physical body. But all DNA changes are ultimately under regulatory control of the mental thoughts. Through our researches based on DSA, we identify different mental and emotional thought processes that constructively and destructively influence the DNA structure. We identify that naturally positive, happy, comfortable, peaceful and pure mental emotional state constructively or curatively modify the DNA whereas negative, unnatural, pessimistic, fearful, destructive mental and emotional states derange the DNA to express itself to an unhealthy plane. Also each thought is connected to a functional system and/or organ of the body. In this connection we have identified that extreme persistent stubbornness, stiffness and rigidity of mind with negativity are the important mental emotional states that affect the lungs in the development of lung cancer. It is still an ongoing research and development activity and a new direction of scientific observation which can make the development of future Medical Science and a new methodology of treatment. Symptoms of Lung Cancer
Lung cancer does not show any symptoms in its early stages. Signs and symptoms shown by lung cancer in its advanced stages are detailed below.
- Cough that does not go away easily
- Changes in a smoker’s cough
- Coughing with small amount of blood
- Shortness of breath.
- Chest pain
- Hoarseness in sound
- Unexplainable weight loss
- Headache with bone pain
Diagnosis of Lung Cancer
We at SGHHCC and SGCCRC mainly depend on the conventional diagnostic procedures for lung cancer. The usual tests that are carried out to diagnose lung cancer are discussed below.
- Imaging tests: X-ray images can reveal abnormal masses in your lungs and CT scan and MRI scan will reveal lesions existing in your lungs which will not be detected in the X-ray.
- Sputum cytology: If your cough is producing sputum, examining them in a microscope can reveal the presence of cancer in your lungs.
- Biopsy: A sample of abnormal cells from your lungs will be removed and examined under a microscope. This procedure is known as biopsy. Samples may be taken from nearby organs like liver and lymph nodes where the cancer is suspected to have spread through metastasis. Generally we are not in favour of needle biopsy.
Stages of Lung Cancer
Stage I: In this stage the cancer has not spread to lymph nodes and the tumor is less than 2 inches in size.
Stage II: In this stage the cancer would have spread to the nearby lymph nodes and the tumor would be larger than 2 inches in size.
Stage III: In this case the tumor will be very large and the cancer would have invaded the nearby organs also.
Stage IV: In this stage the cancer would have spread to the distant organs in the body
Dynamic Scientific Approach (DSA) Treatment for Lung Cancer
Our natural holistic DSA treatment is introduced by Dr. Shaji Varghese Kudiyat, our chief physician and founder director who is a world renowned researcher and scientist in homeopathic system of medicine has invented a new generation science named Dynamic Science (DS). Dynamic Science clearly explains the interrelationship between mind, the vital force (soul) and DNA. This science explains how mutations and epigenetic changes happen resulting in the development of cancer and in DSA treatment we are utilizing the same relationship to reverse the cancer-development process resulting into complete cure. This hypothesis makes it clear that only when the mind is in naturally positive, happy, comfortable and peaceful harmony with the vital force and body, then only, the body will be healthy and free from all diseases, provided the body will be supplied with natural nutrients and proper rest, sleep, regular excretions, etc. rhythmically. So DSA treatment incorporates natural and dynamic homeopathic medicines, judicial application of surgery, counselling, inner healing methods and techniques like yoga, meditation, music therapy, etc. to curatively influence mind, vital force and body.
As per the procedures of the DSA treatment for cancer in our hospital, it starts by making the patient and his/her family members aware of the importance of mental, emotional, spiritual and physical body harmony in the treatment of cancer. They are asked to undergo a group counseling session conducted by our Chief Physician / well trained staff, either directly or through online video consultation, with a view to impart knowledge about the principles and treatment procedures of DSA and the need for co-operation from the part of the patient and his/her family members in making necessary personal and social healthy transformations. This counseling enables the patient and his/her family members to gain confidence and clarity in the scientific and logical perspective of the treatment and commit themselves for the totally involved treatment and successful journey towards complete cure. Homeopathic Treatment for Lung Cancer
Homeopathy is fully developed medical system Introduced by a German physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann more than two hundred years ago. This medical system has proved to be extremely successful in the treatment of cancer saving the patients from painful symptoms of cancer and giving them new life by purifying the vital force (soul), the energy that govern the living phenomena. Our founder director and chief physician Dr. Shaji Varghese Kudiyat is a homeopathic doctor, researcher and scientist who has pioneered a new cancer treatment procedure which includes the application of homeopathic medicines, which has given him the status of the researcher of the third millennium. He has authored a book titled ‘Homeopathic Medicine, An Unavoidable Medical Revolution.’ He regularly addresses international medical conferences where he presents his latest inventions and philosophies related to science in general and medical science in particular and most especially about homeopathic medicines and its scientific aspects. The treatment in our center is under the direct supervision and guidance of Dr. Shaji Varghese Kudiyat, and all our patients get the unique opportunity to be treated directly by him or under his guidance.
